Turbiwatt in the land of the rising sun

Contexte

Two T800 turbines were installed during the summer of 2020 in Tanabe, in the prefecture of Wakayama, Japan. The two turbines produce 22kW of 100% renewable electricity. After 3 years of contact with the region’s leading electricity producer, the project was completed at the beginning of January 2021.

This marks the completion of an initial pilot site, which should be followed by many other facilities.
